Bender Qi Energy |
An emerging
understanding
of the physics of qi energy, long used by many cultures for healing and
martial arts, is promising major opportunities for our culture. The
first “faster-than-light” energy to be identified,
qi energy is a mechanism involved in the instantaneous transfer of
information even on the quantum level that has been demonstrated in
“quantum non-locality”. The physics of qi energy
offers powerful new understanding of how our universe works, as well as
a more powerful basis for our healing arts, architecture, and sciences. |

Nason People in Transition |
People are in Transition all the time: physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Any transition, or change, brings about fear of the unknown. Learning to identify the underlying fears and developing coping skills can minimize unnecessary anxiety and suffering. "Coping" is a skill that can be taught and developed, much like any muscle in the body. | 7:00- 8:30 p.m. |

a special anniversary, or a family occasion. You can grieve,
rejoice, be fearful, be powerful. It works on the past, the
present, and the future simultaneously. It offers insight,
clarification, empowerment, and peace. Come learn more about
this

Burton Sweet Cravings, Fatigue and Pain webpage |
There
are several reasons for intense sweet or junk food cravings, most
of them
physiological. What most people attribute to lack of will power are
physical
manifestations of an imbalance in the body. When left unchecked these
imbalances
can lead to immune disorders and digestive problems, including
Fibromyalgia,
Chronic Fatigue and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. |

Russo deTurk Body Awareness thru Structural Yoga |
Our bodies are resilient, and respond to most of our needs. Repetitive motion over an extended period of time changes our body posture, compromises our breath, increases spinal problems such as osteoporosis, and kyphosis( rounding of upper spine). Structural yoga teaches you about your body's needs. Using a gentle joint freeing series, and specific postures; joint stiffness, weak muscles and poor posture can be transformed! Increase your energy, through your breath and better posture,. Change how you move in the world with greater joint flexibility and more muscle strength | 7:00- 8:30 p.m. |

Scott Smith. MD Introduction to Biofeedback |
Biofeedback provides very
sensitive measurement of physiological function ("bio") and "feedback"
to the individual being monitored. Examples of biofeedback signals
include muscle tension, skin temperature, galvanic skin response ("lie
detector"), breathing pattern, heart rate and its variability, and EEG
(brain waves). The idea behind biofeedback therapy is that if a
physiological function can be monitored and presented to a
person in "real time" as an auditory or visual
signal , that particular function can
(probably) be altered. For example, most people can
ultimately train themselves to raise their own hand temperature by
practicing with continuous electronic monitoring of
skin temperature displayed as a biofeedback signal. It should be noted
however, that this training is often subtle and labor-intensive.There
is as much hype as science in biofeedback practice, but it appears to
be quite useful for certain conditions including migraine, mild
hypertension, and Raynaud's phenomenon (painfully cold fingers). There
is also increasing evidence that general cardiovascular health and
perhaps cerebral functioning might be enhanced with
biofeedback training. This introductory talk is intended to review
basic biofeedback concepts, instrumentation, controversy, and
applications. A brief demonstration will be presented.

| April 14th | Brad Keeney |
Bradford Keeney has been called “an all-American shaman, the Marco Polo of psychology, and an anthropologist of the spirit” by the editors of Utne magazine. Elders of indigenous cultures throughout the world – including the Kalahari Bushmen, the Caribbean Shakers of St. Vincent, and the Japanese healing tradition of Seiki Jutsu – have embraced Keeney as a master of the universal life force or what he calls “shaking medicine.” In his public appearances, Dr. Keeney vividly illuminates the life-surging ecstatic forms and movements that he has absorbed first-hand through his initiation into these early and enduring cultures. A charismatic speaker, improvisational pianist and performance artist, Bradford Keeney has received enthusiastic acclaim as a unique inspirational presenter. (Read more) |

Hathaway Acutonics |
Acutonics
uses tuning forks tuned to the
sounds of the cosmos - the music of the spheres - to balance the energy
meridians of the body. These are the same meridians of
Traditional Chiinese Medicine. So, instead of stimulating the
points with needles or finger pressure, we use the vibrations of cosmic
sound. Because these tones are frequencies found in the
cosmos, our bodies respond to them automatically and joyously!
Used alone or integrated with Swedish-style massage, Acutonics treatment can produce profound healing results in releasing taut muscles, restoring vitality, strengthening the immune system , as well as inducing deep relaxation. |
